Gifted Leader! Excellence Personified! Result-driven and full of great ideas! I am willing to go the extra mile.
Pleasant Greetings to Everyone!
My name is Victor Chigbundu Nwaiwu. I hold BSc (Hons) Radiography, PgCert (Obs & Gynae Ultrasonography) and currently running a Masters degree in Public Health with the University of Suffolk, UK.
I have vast experience in school leadership and complaints, having served as course representative in different courses, team leader of seminar group, leader of research group and class representative during my undergraduate days.
As a distant learner with the University of Suffolk for over a year now, the challenges faced by part-time students (such as lack of proper orientation, financial constricts, lack of sufficient time for study, quality and complexity of learning materials, lack of experience/training with instructional technologies, unfavourable home learning environment, delayed/ineffective feedback from tutor, difficulties in learning technically demanding materials, Internet issues and lack of support from family, friends and employer) and possible strategies on how students can achieve their academic potentials are not new to me, having already completed 6 modules, despite work pressure as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
I am keen for the Part-time students officer position, to present these needs and act as an advocator. I hope to communicate effectively and engage with the University and other relevant organisations to ensure an awesome learning experience for students studying at UNICAF, while addressing some of these needs through campaigns, etc. I cannot wait to work together with students, representatives, relevant clubs, societies and groups. I also hope to liase with tutors, students and staff on these issues, hold regular meetings with students to identify school-work-home issues peculiar to part-time learning and provide evidence-based recommendations on areas of improvement.
I am highly determined and pledge to give my very best to produce positive results if given this ample opportunity. I remain optimistic, looking forward to the next stage, as I continue a life of learning and service.
