Trip to Alton Water

Located within the stunning countryside of Suffolk, Alton Water Park stretches across some 400 acres and is the perfect location for an afternoon picnic and stroll. We will be bringing along with us a limited amount of bikes available to ride around the park, however these will be first come first serve basis. The entire trail takes roughly 3 hours to walk, so we don't recommend walking all 8 miles around as you need to ensure you leave plenty of time to get back to the meeting point.

Leaving the SU at 11am - please ensure you arrive promptly or we will have to leave without you

Leaving Alton Water at 2pm to arrive back at the SU at 2:30pm

Please ensure you bring lunch, or alternatively there is a small cafe there where you can purchase hot and cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream.

If you are out for a leisurely stroll, then you are sure to benefit from the many walking trails and nature walks at Alton Water, for more adrenaline-filled action, there is the eight-mile cross country cycling track or a range of watersports on offer. There is also the opportunity to enjoy a day on the water fishing. Any activities please book ahead at https://anglianwaterparks.co.uk/alton-water, as they will not be included on this trip.
