Make sure you stay safe and well during the winter break – here are some top tips for looking after your mental health at Christmas from the Mental Health Foundation
If you are studying at the Ipswich campus and would like in-the-moment support for your wellbeing, please access the 24/7 counselling helpline and Wisdom app.
If you are in a mental health crisis or feel unsafe, please contact NHS First Response by calling 111 and selecting option 2. In an emergency, please contact the emergency services by telephoning 999 or go to your nearest Hospital Emergency Department.
If you live in Suffolk and have an urgent accommodation need, please follow this link for information about emergency accommodation or check your postcode to find details of your local Borough Council.
Please note the University Security team will be on site throughout the Christmas period and accessible via the Waterfront Building or dial 01473 338999 or email UOSSecurity@uos.ac.uk
EMERGENCY FOOD BANK FOR WINTER BREAK
We have arranged for a small number of emergency food parcels to be available from UOS Security over the winter break. To arrange collection, there are three options:
1. Call security on 01473 338999
2. Email security at UOSSecurity@uos.ac.uk
3. Pop into the Waterfront reception and ring the bell to alert security
As these are limited in number, only one parcel can be given per student. For other local foodbanks and top up shops, please go to our foodbank page
