The Entrepreneur Society

We want to create a space for those with the entrepreneurial spirit to come together. Throughout the academic year we offer the following:

Each year the society will work together to create an entry to the Social Enterprise Programme/ Enterprise competition:

“The University of Suffolk Make a Difference Social Enterprise Programme has been created and designed for anyone who has a desire to make a difference, or has an aspiration to set up a business with a positive social, environmental or cultural impact. Equally, we encourage individuals who would like to learn more about social enterprise, real-life global challenges and develop new skills that can be applied to any business – everyone is welcome!”

“Two winning pitches were selected by the panel, each securing £1,000 in micro-grant funding to kickstart their enterprises.”

We also want to build a marketplace within the university. Allowing student led businesses to showcase their products/ services to students. We want to hold two marketplaces per academic year, with the goal to:

• Give student businesses or services exposure.
• Gain feedback from consumers.
• Gain social media followers for student businesses or services.
• Make money through sales.

This society is about encouraging each other to succeed, with the ethos:

“None of us have to lose for another to succeed”.
