My name is Ella Macartney and I’m looking forward to being your nursing and midwifery officer for the upcoming academic year!

I am currently in my second year of Adult Nursing here at Suffolk. I have particular interest in Emergency and Critical Care nursing, but I also have a soft spot for Palliative and EOL nursing. When not at uni or on placement, I am a keep sportswoman, representing the university at Netball as GS or GA. Outside of uni, I am a member of Ipswich Jaffa Running Club, and I am currently training for my first 2 half marathons next spring. Sports provides a great escape for me and helps distract me from the stresses of university and nursing life. When I have a spare weekend, I can be often found in London's West End watching a stage show or musical. My personal favourites are Moulin Rouge, Heathers or anything starring Jamie Muscato ?? I feel proud to be able to represent the nurses and midwives of the future and I hope that you will join me and support you and your fellow students in making UoS a great place to study.
