Hello! My name is Katie and I’m currently a first year Biomedical Scientist!! Last year, I studied children’s nursing, so I guess I’m a first year with all the experience!! I am a carer who has decided to more away to live on campus, but regularly visit home! I love collecting Jellycats, and have a hyper-fixation on human anatomy!! I am neurodivergent and proud!! I believe it gives me some superhuman powers, including attention to detail and being very persistent when I set my heart on something!! I do have my struggles of course but I think this opportunity is wonderful to try and develop my communication and social skills. I aim to make extenuating circumstances more accessible to those with caring responsibilities and to create a network for guilt free socialising!!
